What is this for?
The number of devices used in neurointerventional procedures has exploded in recent years. This tool provides information on:
- Sizes of catheters, balloons, stents, coils, and other devices.
- Whether devices fit inside each other.
- What similar devices are available.
- Information about the devices, such as the design and materials a stent is made of.
- Whether a catheter is DMSO compatible.
- Direct links to further manufacturer information.
- In future we plan to add more information such as how to prepare and use devices, and what is the evidence for their usage.

This website was created by Dr Jeremy Lynch. He is an interventional neuroradiologist at Kings College Hospital, London, United Kingdon. Special thanks to Dr Patrick Nicholson for ideas and feedback.

How to use
Start to type the device you are interested in the search box and then select from the list that pops up. You can select catheters, wires, stents, balloons, and other devices.
You will be presented with information about the device. Insert a device inside this one by selecting "Fit" Then "Fit device inside". You can view information about any of the devices by selecting "Info" then "Device info".
Further devices can be inserted either inside or beside this device using "Fit device inside" or "New device beside". Under Results you will see whether the devices are compatible in terms of diameter and length. If there are incompatibilities then a message will appear describing the problem.
